More information:
There are a total of 34 rules distributed in eleven sections: 1 .- The game (three rules) 2 .- The sticks and the ball (two rules) 3 .- Responsibilities of the player (four rules) 4 .- Order of play (Rule ) 5 .- The place of departure (a rule) 6 .- Playing the ball (four rules) 7 .- The green (two rules) 8 .- Ball Moved, Deflected or Stopped (two rules) 9 .- Situations and procedures relief (nine rules) 10 .- Other game modes (four rules) 11 .- Administration (two rules) These rules are in addition the label (the player behavior in the field), definitions (vocabulary of golf) and Appendices (local rules regarding the design of the sticks and ball). To play a round of golf, will have to complete 18 holes in a set order. The first stroke of each hole is made at the tee, and the last is that which achieves put the ball in the hole. The result (in English score) in golf is obtained by adding the number of strokes with which it has managed to get the ball into each hole. The overall result will be, therefore, the sum of 18 partial results have been obtained during the game. The assessment of this result in competition will depend, however, other factors: the mode you are playing and balancing the level of play of each player (handicap system, very important in golf because it is the tool to ensure that all players compete on equal terms, regardless of their level of play). The first blow is always hard to get as close as possible to the hole. For the tee shot you can place the ball on a wood or plastic, called T, in order to ease the impact. The following shots made with the ball as it lies. In each course there are holes three, four and five strokes, called hole par three, par four or par five. If the hole is three strokes (par three), the usual strategy that follows the player is to get the ball to the green and the first hit. In contrast, four holes (par four) and five strokes (par five), significantly longer, you must hit the ball hard again once or twice to get to be on the green. Once on the green, the player does not hit the ball hard to fly at a distance, but hit it gently with a special club - putter - to go shooting and enters the hole. The player who manages to hole the ball in a hole by the number of hits set, the pair has completed the hole. If you get the same thing all the way, even if half for having more shots on some holes and less in others, will have reached the par for the course. If a player completes a hole with one stroke under par, made a birdie (birdie in Spanish). If there are two less than par, speaking of an eagle (eagle in Spanish), if there are three less torque will be an albatross. When a hole is finished with a stroke over par is a bogey, and if more than two strokes, is called double bogey, triple bogey, and so on. When a player holes out from the tee with the first blow will be a "hole in one" or "hole in one". In Match Play mode or match play, golfers play the number of holes agreed (generalmante 18 or 9), ie a stipulated round in advance, so that each hole is a separate item in another hole results . That is, is played hole by hole and a hole is as good as the others. When a player has an advantage over one that can not be overcome, but the player who loses all the remaining holes to win, the game ends immediately and that was the most holes wins. For example: They just fill the hole 16 and has earned Javier Agustin 10 holes and only 6. Although Augustine won the 2 holes remaining to complete the 18, not be enough to tie or win against Xavier, because Javier Agustín only take 10 and 8 and, in any form, Javier would be the winner. The holes are considered tied if both players or teams make the same amount of hits. Medal Play mode or stroke play or stroke play, meanwhile, is much more simple: After having completed the stipulated round or rounds, who has made few shots when completing each hole wins. If Alice made a total of 70 hits and Augustine 78 over 18 holes, Javier is the winner. It is assumed that the mode "Medal Play" is fairer than the "Match", because it is much more natural and simple, and focuses on making the least amount of strokes possible. But playing "Match" is much more interesting and may be more surprising twists. In addition to these modalities, there Stableford system, widely used in a local tournament. In this mode, the pair was rewarded with two points, one bogey and birdie three, and so on without ever coming to deduct points. In addition, each hole has points "extra" provided by the player's handicap and the handicap of the hole (or difficulty of the hole on the field). Thus, a player with handicap 10 that marks the exact pair in the hole 8 designated as handicap the field, get 2 points for the pair and one extra because the hole has a lower handicap than yours, so if the pair had met handicap hole on the field 12 would receive no extra point. At the end of the tournament the player with more points.
