Jim Sammons of La Jolla Kayak Fishing has joined with the Hotel Punta Colorada to bring you the ultimate kayak fishing experience in the beautiful Sea of Cortez.

With our expert guides our trips can accommodate kayak fisherman from beginner to advanced levels. By the end of one of our trips we guarantee you will be a better kayak fisherman.
Our fully guided packages include lodging at the beautiful Hotel Punta Colorada, three meals a day, kayak rental, live bait and support from one of the hotel pangas and expert captains.

All of the Ocean Kayaks at the hotel have been out fitted for fishing by La Jolla Kayak Fishing with seats, paddles and rod holders. The hotel has a  fleet of 16 fishing kayaks including the new Ocean Kayak Prowler 15, 13 and Big Game.

Guests on our trips routinely make prize catches of Roosters up to sixty pounds, Dorado, Tuna and lots more. View photos of past trips.

You may even be lucky enough to join the La Jolla Kayak Fishing Bill Fish Club like several of our past guests.

As an added bonus on these trips, your guide will video tape your fishing exploits for you to relive at a later date. There is no better way to preserve your trip memories. La Jolla Kayak Fishing runs group trip to Punta Colorada several times a year and are also available to take private groups down on other dates that you select. We can set up your entire trip for you. If you like, custom trips are available to include days of boat fishing, scuba diving, hikes into the mountains, riding ATV’s down the beach or a day of partying in Cabo San Lucas. Our custom trips are perfect for a company get away, buddy trips or bachelor parties.
